Description
Flaky golden rolls filled with creamy feta cheese and drizzled with a sweet-tart cranberry honey glaze. Perfect for a holiday appetizer or a savory-sweet side dish.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten (for wash)
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix feta cheese, cream cheese, dill, and black pepper until well combined.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out puff pastry into a 10×10-inch square. Cut into 4 equal squares.
- Spoon a quarter of the feta mixture onto the center of each pastry square. Fold each square diagonally to form a triangle, sealing edges with a fork or by crimping.
- Place triangles on prepared baking sheet, brush tops with beaten egg, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- While rolls bake, combine cranberries, honey, water, and orange zest in a small saucepan. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries soften and sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove rolls from oven, let cool 5 minutes, then drizzle with cranberry honey sauce. Serve warm.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a savory twist, add crushed red pepper flakes or swap dill for rosemary. The cranberry honey can be made ahead and refrigerated; reheat gently before serving.
