Description

A decadent fusion of rich chocolate cheesecake and classic Black Forest flavors, topped with cherries and whipped cream.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate shavings

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Mix chocolate wafer crumbs and melted butter; press firmly into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 10 minutes; cool.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add cocoa powder and mix well.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating on low after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  5. Pour filling over crust. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
  6. Run a knife around the edge of pan to loosen; cool completely. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  7. Before serving, beat heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread over cheesecake.
  8. Spoon cherry pie filling on top and garnish with chocolate shavings.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and let the cheesecake chill overnight.
