A decadent fusion of rich chocolate cheesecake and classic Black Forest flavors, topped with cherries and whipped cream.

For the Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate shavings
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- Mix chocolate wafer crumbs and melted butter; press firmly into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 10 minutes; cool.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add cocoa powder and mix well.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating on low after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
- Pour filling over crust. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
- Run a knife around the edge of pan to loosen; cool completely. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, beat heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread over cheesecake.
- Spoon cherry pie filling on top and garnish with chocolate shavings.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and let the cheesecake chill overnight.
