A delicious and elegant appetizer featuring creamy brie cheese wrapped in flaky puff pastry with a bright lemon herb flavor.

For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 (8 oz) wheel brie cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix together lemon zest, rosemary, thyme, garlic, honey, salt, and pepper.
- Place the brie wheel on the puff pastry sheet. Spread the lemon herb mixture evenly over the top of the brie.
- Fold the puff pastry over the brie, sealing the edges. Brush the top with beaten egg.
- Place seam side down on the baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm with crackers or sliced baguette.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a sweeter version, add a drizzle of honey before baking.
