Description

A sweet and savory twist on classic nachos, featuring ripe pears, creamy brie, spicy hot honey, and a crunchy walnut topping. Perfect as an appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 large ripe pear, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed and sliced
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup tortilla chips
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup fresh arugula (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange tortilla chips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Place slices of brie cheese evenly over the tortilla chips.
  4. Distribute the pear slices over the cheese.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the top.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the brie is melted and bubbly.
  7. While the nachos bake, prepare the hot honey: In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine honey and red pepper flakes. Microwave for 15-20 seconds until runny, or warm on the stovetop.
  8. Remove nachos from the oven and immediately drizzle with hot honey.
  9. Top with fresh arugula if desired, and add a pinch of salt. Serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a milder version, reduce red pepper flakes. For extra crunch, toast the walnuts beforehand.
