Description
A sweet and savory twist on classic nachos, featuring ripe pears, creamy brie, spicy hot honey, and a crunchy walnut topping. Perfect as an appetizer or snack.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 1 large ripe pear, thinly sliced
- 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed and sliced
- 1/4 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup tortilla chips
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
- 1/4 cup fresh arugula (optional)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange tortilla chips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Place slices of brie cheese evenly over the tortilla chips.
- Distribute the pear slices over the cheese.
- Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the top.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the brie is melted and bubbly.
- While the nachos bake, prepare the hot honey: In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine honey and red pepper flakes. Microwave for 15-20 seconds until runny, or warm on the stovetop.
- Remove nachos from the oven and immediately drizzle with hot honey.
- Top with fresh arugula if desired, and add a pinch of salt. Serve warm.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a milder version, reduce red pepper flakes. For extra crunch, toast the walnuts beforehand.
