Description

A stunning, shareable bread shaped like a blooming flower, filled with savory sun-dried tomatoes and melted mozzarella, perfect for spring gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes in oil, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Flour for dusting

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a round baking dish or cast-iron skillet.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out pizza dough into a large circle about 1/4-inch thick.
  3. In a bowl, mix sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush dough with olive oil, then sprinkle the tomato-cheese mixture evenly over the surface.
  5. Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into 8 equal wedges (like a pizza). Stack the wedges on top of each other, then place the stack vertically in the prepared dish, forming a ‘blossom’ shape.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
