Description

Tender roasted Brussels sprouts tossed in a sweet and tangy balsamic maple glaze, finished with crispy bacon and toasted pecans for a flavorful side dish.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1.5 lbs Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup pecans, roughly chopped

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread in a single layer on the baking sheet. Roast for 20-25 minutes until tender and lightly browned.
  3. While sprouts roast, cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving 1 tbsp bacon fat in the skillet.
  4. Add garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in balsamic vinegar and maple syrup. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Toss roasted Brussels sprouts with the glaze, bacon, and pecans. Serve warm.
