For the Crust:
- 1 large ripe pear, cored and thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
- 4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup walnuts, roughly chopped and toasted
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss pear slices with olive oil, thyme, salt, and pepper. Arrange on a baking sheet and roast for 10-12 minutes until tender and lightly caramelized.
- Place baguette slices on a separate baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes until crisp and golden.
- Assemble bites: Top each toasted baguette slice with a roasted pear slice, a sprinkle of blue cheese, and a few toasted walnuts.
- Drizzle each bite with honey and garnish with fresh thyme sprigs. Serve immediately.
