An incredibly easy and decadent dessert that combines fresh strawberries, creamy cheesecake filling, and a buttery cake topping. Simply dump and bake for a delicious treat.

For the Crust:
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (15.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the strawberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Toss to coat and spread evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberries.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the strawberry and cream cheese layer.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the strawberries are bubbly. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a richer flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon to the cake mix layer. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
