For the Crust:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a medium bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- In a separate bowl, mash the strawberries with a fork or potato masher until slightly chunky.
- Add the mashed strawberries, vanilla extract, and salt to the cream mixture. Stir well.
- Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to chill.
- Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (about 20-25 minutes).
- Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours until firm and scoopable.
