For the Crust:
- 1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces brie cheese, sliced
- 1/2 cup fig jam
- 3 tablespoons hot honey
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- Fresh thyme leaves for garnish
- Salt to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and toast for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Top each crostini with a slice of brie cheese and return to oven for 2-3 minutes until cheese is slightly melted.
- Remove from oven and spread a small spoonful of fig jam over the brie on each crostini.
- Drizzle hot honey over the crostini and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
- Garnish with fresh thyme leaves and a pinch of salt. Serve immediately.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a milder heat, reduce the hot honey or use regular honey.
