A delightful appetizer featuring crispy baguette slices topped with creamy brie, sweet fig jam, spicy hot honey, crunchy walnuts, and fresh thyme.

For the Crust:

  • 1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fig jam
  • 3 tablespoons hot honey
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and toast for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
  2. Top each crostini with a slice of brie cheese and return to oven for 2-3 minutes until cheese is slightly melted.
  3. Remove from oven and spread a small spoonful of fig jam over the brie on each crostini.
  4. Drizzle hot honey over the crostini and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
  5. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves and a pinch of salt. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a milder heat, reduce the hot honey or use regular honey.
