A refreshing and sweet-savory appetizer combining juicy mango, creamy mozzarella, and fresh basil, drizzled with a honey glaze. Perfect for summer gatherings or a light starter.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 2 ripe mangoes, cubed
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini), halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, large ones torn
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • 8 short skewers

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, lime juice, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  2. Thread a basil leaf, a mango cube, a mozzarella half, and another mango cube onto each skewer. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  3. Place skewers on a serving plate and drizzle with the honey glaze. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
  4. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
