Description

A delightful flatbread featuring sweet caramelized pears, creamy brie, a drizzle of honey, and crunchy toasted walnuts – perfect as an appetizer or light meal.

For the Crust:

  • 1 pre-made flatbread or pizza crust
  • 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped and toasted
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add brown sugar. Add pear slices and cook for 3-4 minutes until caramelized and slightly softened.
  3. Place flatbread on a baking sheet. Arrange caramelized pears evenly over the flatbread.
  4. Top with brie slices and sprinkle with toasted walnuts.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
  6. Remove from oven, drizzle with honey, garnish with fresh thyme, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of cinnamon or a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
