For the Crust:
- 1 pre-made flatbread or pizza crust
- 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped and toasted
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Fresh thyme leaves for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add brown sugar. Add pear slices and cook for 3-4 minutes until caramelized and slightly softened.
- Place flatbread on a baking sheet. Arrange caramelized pears evenly over the flatbread.
- Top with brie slices and sprinkle with toasted walnuts.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
- Remove from oven, drizzle with honey, garnish with fresh thyme, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of cinnamon or a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
